About

Therapy is an opportunity – to learn how to live your life better.

Therapy is not a quick fix for what is going on in your life currently. Therapy is a journey that will address the underlying issues that lead to uncomfortable situations in life.

If you are looking for understanding, compassion, and someone to follow where your journey leads, then let’s begin the process together.

In a session, I strive to get you completely without judgment of your circumstances.

I get that you are not your life problems, but that there is an authentic you separate from the things that hold you back.

Let’s work together to navigate whatever has not worked for you.

You are stronger than you think.

Your strengths are what can help you survive the challenges of your life.

Sometimes, we lose sight of those strengths and begin to feel helpless or confused.

I can help you recognize your capacity to face life and push through challenges.

Each painful situation somehow increases our capacity and strength. There always seem to be challenges and new opportunities for growth and healing.

It is hard to get started.

Most people delay therapy until their life has become difficult.

It is not easy to seek help or begin changing the patterns in our lives.

We are creatures of habit and do the same things over and over the same way – it is hard to break the cycles of our lives and begin something new.

We can heal the parts in our lives that haven’t worked for us.

Let’s work together to change the patterns in your life that are not working for you.

To get started now, please call (360) 480-0027 and fill out our intake form.

Now is the time for a change.

Let’s work to identify those patterns and cycles.

Through different processes, such as, Mind Clearing, we will uncover what is not working for you and find a way through the life patterns that hold you back.

Together, we can move to a better place in your life – and know how to follow the path you set into the future.

About Me

Here is some of my professional background.

In 1995, I received an MA in Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling from Chapman University. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and an Advanced Clinical Hypnotherapist.

After graduate school, I began working with At-Risk families involved with Child Protective Services as an advocate and a therapist to assist them in resolving whatever issues caused the state to become involved in their lives. These families sometimes were confronted by the most challenging life issues in our society – poverty, incarceration, and reliance on various substances. I worked with these families for 29 years.

I also worked with combat veterans diagnosed with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder for ten years.

I have worked with all types of trauma, including war and sexual trauma and the anxiety and depression often associated with trauma. I also have worked with parents struggling with challenging behaviors in their children, including at-risk and criminal behavior. I have worked with couples dealing with communication and more complicated issues.

In my personal development, I have received instruction from ten teachers in the past 29 years in spirituality, hypnotherapy, Mind Clearing, and meditation. I facilitate enlightenment intensive (meditation) retreats, dyad workshops, and trance work weekends.

In my personal life

I love to travel and do so whenever I get the chance. Some of the places I have traveled to include Hawaii, India, Germany, Italy, Holland, France, Korea, and Thailand. I also have driven across the US seven times and traveled a lot in the Northwest and Southwest.

Along with my travel, I love to do landscape photography, and the photos in my office are ones I have taken. Other than that, I read a lot and relax when I can.
